Ramsgate vs Frome Town
Ramsgate take on Frome in this FA Cup third qualifying round tie which will see the winners only 90 minutes away from the FA cup first round proper.
Rams have reached this stage by overcoming Bexhill 4-1 in the preliminary round back in August before two consecutive victories over higher level opponents. Firstly an impressive 5-1 victory over Chatham Town at the Bauvill Stadium before a 3-2 extra time win over Cray Wanderers in a replay just last week.
Our opponents today from Somerset dispatched of Falmouth Town 6-2 in the preliminary round before a 3-1 win over Clevedon Town lead to a tie against Plymouth Parkway who they needed a replay to progress 2-1 in a home tie.
Frome come into this game after a 3-2 home victory over Evesham on Tuesday left them in 6th place in the Southern League South Division.
Ramsgate played a very young side in the Kent Senior Cup defeat to Cray Valley so manager Ben Smith will be hoping for a fresh squad to choose from.
Rams hitman Joe Taylor is currently joint top scorer in the competition and will be hoping to add to his tally today.
