Ramsgate 3-0 Northwood
Ramsgate took on Northwood in the FA Trophy at a sweltering hot WW Martin Community Stadium as traffic problems for the officials saw kick off delayed by 20 minutes.
Manager Smith handed recalls to Joe Ellul and Medy Elito while captain West returned to the starting XI after illness.
Rams were quick out of the blocks as Jadama works the ball to Taylor in the box and his effort was well saved by the Northwood keeper.
Taylor went close again shortly after as Bioletti found the home sides top scorer but this time his effort hit the bar.
It wasn’t long before Ramsgate did take the lead though as a cross from Bioletti found Elito and he bundled home the ball from close range.
The Rams went close soon after as efforts from Paxman and Jadama tested the visiting keeper and then Taylor again but this time it’s cleared off the line.
On 41 minutes and it’s 2-0 as a long ball from Ellul finds Jadama and last seasons player of the year made no mistake with an emphatic finish past the keeper.
Four minutes later and Ramsgate grabbed their third and this time it was the skipper West as he received a through ball and calmly slotted past the advancing keeper.
Into the second half and Taylor was once again denied by the keeper before Jadama rounded the keeper but was denied by a defender.
With time running out Northwood registered their first effort on target but Hadler made a smart size.
Last action of the game saw Elito spot the keeper off his line and go for the spectacular from distance but the ball dropped onto the top of the net.
