Corinthian were keeping their shape very well and were happy to let Rams dominate possession in their own half and picking up the loose balls when we tried to pass through the lines.
Our first chance of note was when a free kick was delivered in and TJ met it with a back heel but Colmer was in the right place to make the save.
In 37 minutes Miller did well on the right cutting inside and playing a ball to Paxman but a fantastic tackle from Billings saw the danger averted.
42 minutes in and Correia-Lopes drove inside and shot but Bexon was equal to it.
Into the second half and it was the away team on the front foot with a couple of dangerous balls into the box but the impressive Coyle made big headers to make sure parity remained.
55th minute and the ball was played into Prescott, he drove forward and launched an unstoppable shot which gave Colmer no chance in the Corinthian goal to put the Rams 1-0 up.
This improved the confidence of the home team and Diakiesse twisted and turned on the edge of the area before seeing his shot blocked then Fitchett also went close.
A big scare on 74 minutes as a long throw was slung into the box by Corinthian and was diverted towards goal but Bexon was equal to it and made a strong save.
With time running out a ball was played forward between Miller and Ajayi and it was Miller who took control, cutting inside the area and he was clipped from behind.
