After today’s postponement we caught up with manager Ben Smith after such a big week in the clubs history
“Look it’s always disappointing to lose games of football, no matter who you are playing that feeling just doesn’t go away. In this case, we came up against the best version of a top quality outfit, incredibly professional on and off the pitch and write the game off as a fantastic experience for everyone connected with the club. We also look back at the run itself with immense pride of what we have accomplished and again I include everyone in this, from the support away at Totton to the relentless work of volunteers against Woking this really was a great show of what Ramsgate Football Club can do.”
Away Support
It was a real pinch me moment for many people at the club, to hear that noise when the players came out to warm up all the way through until after full time. No one is getting carried away, but everyone is enjoying where we are at right now and the unity that we have all created. On behalf of all the players and staff – THANK YOU!!
Three Bridges Postponed
Sometimes in football you feel that things are just going for you and today is one of those days. We were very much bare bones with the amount of illness and injuries that we had so I’m pleased the weather gods were helping us out today. We can hopefully go there in 6weeks time with a full squad.
Chichester midweek game
Tough game against a good side and excellent coaching team, we will need to be at our best. Thankfully the niggles and illnesses will be cleared up by Wednesday so we go into the game full squad and high on confidence in front of what I’m sure will be a packed and loud WW Martin Stadium.
Promotion Race
It’s still very early in the season but the league is starting to take shape now teams have caught up the games you can see some sides now slipping out of the play offs as you’d expect. There will be plenty of twists and turns between now and April so no games are critical at this stage.
