It’s the start of a huge weekend of football for Ramsgate as we face Beckenham at home and Chatham away within three days knowing our league title hopes are in our own hands.
First up is Beckenham Town at the WW Martin Community stadium who currently lie in 5th position in the league and are looking to cement their place in the end of season playoffs. It’s been a good season so far for them registering 18 wins from their 33 games and although they were on the end of a heavy 5-1 defeat away to Sheppey last time out that was their first defeat in four games.
Louie Theophanous again leads the scoring charts for Beckenham with 22 goals and will be a major threat as always.
Rams come into the game 12 games unbeaten and off the back of a dramatic 2-2 draw against Chichester on Tuesday night. Ethan Pritchard gave Chichester the lead early on before Taofiq Olomowewe headed the visitors level on the stroke of half time. Pritchard converted a penalty on 51 minutes before TJ Jadama scored a last gasp header to rescue a point and send us back to the top of the table on goal difference.
In team news Ramsgate have a fully fit squad to choose from as Callum Emptage returned to the squad on Tuesday.
Kick off is at 3pm
