Lancing 1-1 Ramsgate
Ramsgate headed to Lancing hoping to extend their lead at the top of the table and boosted by the signing of winger Youssouf Bamba who went straight into the starting line up in place of Gil Carvalho.
The other change for the visitors was Callum Emptage replacing Tom Carlse at left back due to concussion protocols.
The match got under way and it was Ramsgate who had the first effort as TJ Jadama was released through on goal but after being forced wide he hit his shot just past the target.
On 16 minutes and Paxman picked up the ball on the edge of the area and hit a low skidding shot to the keepers left but he got down well to parry the ball away from danger.
Lancing were looking dangerous down the left and this is what lead to the opening goal of the game as they broke into the Ramsgate box and shot a powerful effort which rattled the underside of the bar, it was only half cleared and the ball fell to Mutongerwa who converted from close range despite Emptage attempting to clear on the line to give first blood to the home side.
40 minutes in and Bamba beat one player and drove into the box, he shot but the keeper was equal to it.
On the stroke of half time Liburd dropped deep to get the ball, he drove past 3 players and layed the ball wide to Aboagye who put in a cross into the area and there was Paxman waiting to side foot the ball home to make sure it was 1-1 going into the break.
After a scrappy opening to the second half Liburd had Rams first effort on 60 minutes but he shot tamely at the keeper.
77 minutes in and Paxman picked up the ball before unleashing a fierce shot, unfortunately it was always rising and cleared the cross bar.
The chances kept coming and a golden one for Liburd in the 80th minute who found himself alone in the box with time on the ball. He made good contact with his strike and it beat the keeper but not the post and it cannoned away to safety.
There was still time for one more big chance and it fell to Ramsgate and Olomowewe and the big centre back met the ball on the volley six yards out but it landed straight into the keepers arms and ensure the spoils were shared.
