Ramsgate’s impressive form over December has been recognised as both Steve Lovell and Josh Bexon have scooped monthly awards.
Steve has been awarded the Isthmian South East manager of the Month following an unbeaten month in which the club collected two wins from the three games and only conceded one goal during December.
We started the month with a 3-1 away win against high flying Whitehawk before a 0-0 home draw against Chichester. We finished the month with a 1-0 win against Hythe on Boxing Day who were previously unbeaten at home.
On receiving the award Steve said ” It’s such an honour to win manager of the month again for December after winning it for November. It just shows you how well the boys have done during this period. It is a group effort with brilliant support from my staff and all the people involved in the running of the club, our club is definitely going in the right direction and hopefully this will continue well into the new year. I would like to thank the community of Ramsgate for their support and coming out in their numbers”
In the second win of the day goalkeeper Josh Bexon has been awarded the AB1 goalkeeper of the month for the second time after previously winning it in August . Josh was in fine form in December conceding just one goal in three matches and keeping two clean sheets in the process.
A clearly delighted Bexon said ” It’s great to win this award for the second time this season and it just shows how well the team are doing overall. We work as a team on and off the pitch and we appreciate the backing from the stands too. There is great feeling at the club at the moment and we are enjoying every game”
