Ramsgate 2-4 Sevenoaks
A bumper crowd turned up at the WW Martin Community stadium in anticipation as the Rams aimed to keep their winning run going and stay top of the table.
Ramsgate started immediately on the front foot trying to press a Sevenoaks team intent on passing the ball around and the tactic paid off within 5 minutes. The ball was played up to Diakiesse who laid it off to Prescott, he shot but it was blocked and landed kindly to Jadama on the edge of the box, TJ span and curled a beauty into the top corner to give the Rams the lead.
On 8 minutes a smart Sevenoaks move saw Shomotun shoot towards the far corner but Bexon at full stretch denied him.
Sevenoaks were level on 21 minutes though as a long ball over the top found Parker he twisted and turned past Mcintyre and hit a low left footed shot past Bexon to make it 1-1
Just 2 minutes later and Sevenoaks had the lead. Coyle gave away a free kick 25 yards out and up stepped Wilson to curl the ball just over the wall and into the net to put the visitors 2-1 up.
Into the 2nd half and Sevenoaks were happy to stand off Ramsgate and let the hosts dominate the ball without really threatening while picking their moments to attack on the break.
70 minutes in and a mix up between Prescott and Emptage allowed Bohui to nick the ball and run 30 yards before poking the ball past Bexon and giving Sevenoaks a 2 goal advantage.
This sparked Ramsgate into life and a superb cross from Emptage found Miller who headed the ball towards goal but he was denied by a terrific save.
Ramsgate did get back into the game in the 83rd minute when Emptage once again curled in a superb cross and this time Miller was able to finish to give the hosts hope.
Two minutes later and it was game over as a Sevenoaks corner was drilled in, Ramsgate lost the first header and Bingham was unmarked to head home from close range to secure the three points for the visitors.
