Ramsgate FC travel to Littlehampton tonight for the first visit to The Sportsfield in the club’s history, as the two sides meet in The FA Trophy 1st Qualifying Round
For the hosts, this will their debut in the competition anwill be hopeful of a good run following last season’s FA Vase journey which saw them eventually beaten 3-0 at Wembley by Newport Pagnell.
The Sussex side, who have never played above county league football before, have enjoyed a promising start to life in Isthmian South East and sit in 5th place. Three points behind The Rams.
Steve Lovell will welcome the return to action, with The Rams having not played since a 2-1 win over Hythe Town two weeks ago, which retained an unbeaten league start.
Lovell is boosted by the return of Kane Rowland to the club. Rowland is available for tonight’s fixture and could make his “third debut” following his transfer from Sittingbourne FC.
Notable absentees for tonight’s match include Jordan Chiedozie and Jack Richards who are both progressing well on their path to fitness.
The winners of the tie will travel to Northwood or Hanworth Villa on Saturday 24th of November.
